Equipment: Thermometer, stop watch.
Body temperature determination
Keep the clinical thermometer in the axillary of a person for at least 60 seconds (until the temperature becomes static) and note the
mercury level to measure the body temperature of the person.
Pulse rate determination
Start the stop watch and feel the beat at any common pulse points and count them for
1 minute. The count gives the pulse rate of the person.
Result: The body temperature of the person is ... degree C/F and the pulse rate of the
person is ... beats/minute.
